Calling all San Diego members! MWA SoCal, in conjunction with the San Diego chapter of Sisters in Crime, is delighted to be hosting two events on Saturday, January 20. Whether you’re looking to hear from one of mystery’s most acclaimed authors or to meet, greet, and talk shop with your fellow chapter members, we’ve got you covered.
The afternoon begins at 3:30pm at Mysterious Galaxy, where we’ll have the chance to hear from authors Kathy Krevat and T. Jefferson Parker. Krevat—who as Kathy Aarons is the author of the Chocolate Covered Mystery series—has recently published The Trouble With Murder, the first in her Gourmet Cat Mystery series. Parker is the author of numerous novels and short stories, the winner of three Edgar Awards, and the recipient of a Los Angeles Times Book Prize for best mystery. The Southern California Independent Booksellers Association Mystery Award bears his name. Before becoming a full-time novelist, he was an award-winning reporter. His latest work is the thriller The Room of White Fire.
Refreshments will be provided.
Afterwards, join new MWA SoCal board member Lisa Brackmann for a casual happy hour get-together at the Shanghai Saloon, with appetizers and beverages.
We hope we’ll see you there!
