Thirty-year LAPD veteran
detective
and master
interrogator
PAUL BISHOP
will guide us through the ins and outs
of a good grilling.

Bishop is also an accomplished
novelist who knows what makes a good and believable
scene of the third degree. He will be in conversation with
writer Eric Beetner
and will take your questions afterward.
Paul Bishop was born in
England, but moved to the US as a young boy. He is a recently retired
LAPD detective with over 30 years experience, specializing in
interrogations of the worst kind of criminals with an impressive record
of getting the truth.
Paul is also a prolific
novelist of over a dozen novels including the Fey Croaker series of
five novels including Kill Me Again and Twice Dead, the Calico Jack
novels Hot Pursuit and Deep Water. In his retirement he’s be busier
than ever, spearheading (along with writer Mel Odom) the popular
Fightcard series of boxing novellas.
Bishop has even used his
interrogation skills in television, starring in the ABC series Take The
Money and Run in which he grilled contestants about hidden money. They
never stood a chance.

CHAPTER SERVICES INCLUDE:

meetings at which
members can network and enjoy the company of other writers.

a monthly newsletter full of publishing industry and market info,
member updates, and chapter news. E-mail
us to submit material or to get the fax number
or postal address for doing so.
An
online mailing list through which any MWA member with Internet access
can ask questions and trade information with others on a daily basis.
Past messages are archived, and the service also includes a calendar,
shared files, and a list of Internet bookmarks.

speaking engagements and other opportunities to be in front of the
